Woman arrested after stabbing in Sisimiut

The past 24 hours have seen a number of violence cases for the Greenland Police.

On Sunday morning, Chief of Police Malik Olesen reported an eventful 24-hour period for the Greenland Police.

He noted that, among other things, nine violence cases have been opened, distributed across the country.

One of the cases was particularly serious, as a knife was involved. The incident took place in Sisimiut, where the police received a report at around 1:30 a.m. that a person had reported being stabbed.

The victim was a man of around 30 years old who had been stabbed in the arm with a knife.

- The victim is not in critical condition, says the Chief of Police.

The police investigation led to the arrest of a woman in her early 20s, who was released after questioning. The woman remains charged in the case.
