On Thursday, a man was brought before the district court on suspicion of rape.
The court decided to detain the man for 27 days, according to the chief of police at the Greenland Police, Malik Olesen.
The report of the rape was received by the police on the evening of Wednesday, April 1.
The rape is said to have occurred in Sisimiut, and relatively shortly after the report, a suspect was arrested.
On Thursday, it was decided that the man should be brought before the court for further detention, which the court agreed to.
